Commercial Real Estate Veteran Kerri Thomas Joins American Real Estate Partners as SVP Leasing

HERNDON, VA – American Real Estate Partners (AREP) announced today that Kerri  Thomas  has joined  the Company  as Senior  Vice President for Leasing.   Thomas,  an industry veteran, brings more  than 15  years  of leasing  experience from Cushman  & Wakefield and was responsible for $1.6B in lease transactions totaling more  than 4M square  feet while at the firm.  Recognized numerous times by peers  and professional organizations for her contributions and achievements, Thomas  has earned  a reputation for results amid  even  the most challenging of market conditions.

As Senior Vice President of Leasing,  Thomas  will report to the Executive Managing  Director of Leasing,  Michael Gribbon,  and work  collaboratively with him to amplify the revenue generation function, raise awareness of AREP’s brand,  and support planned  expansion efforts as the Company  prepares to aggressively pursue  new markets, asset types and development opportunities.   Effectively, the role is concerned with the analytical preparation and strategic pursuit of growth opportunities relating to the leasing  function as well as the subsequent support activities across  the recruitment-to-renewal tenant lifecycle assuring  that the Company is capable  of meeting both short and long  term business  objectives.

Thomas  will assume  responsibility for specific AREP assets in target markets to drive  their growth and achieve  revenue objectives.   This includes  leasing  and marketing initiatives that demonstrate the value AREP delivers across  its portfolio and to its partners.
